Compensation for treatment expenses abroad application

An electronic service that enables the patient to submit a request for compensation for treatment expenses abroad

Compensation Application Procedures

The applicant submits a compensation application after obtaining approval from the treatment abroad committee by clicking on the electronic service link below.

Documents to be submitted according to the type of compensation required:

  1. Request for compensation of treatment abroad expenses 
    • The original bills paid by the patient and the payment receipts, certified by the representative of the State of Qatar in the country of treatment.
    • A copy of the patient's passport. 
    • A certificate from the bank with the account number of the patient or the person officially authorized by the court to receive the amounts.

  2. Request for compensation of travel tickets (to be submitted after the patient returns to the country)
    • Ticket invoice showing the inbound and the outbound flights, the ticket fare and payment receipts (no compensation is made without an invoice)
    • A copy of the passport of the patient and his escorts 
    • Travel movements record through the patient's and escorts' “Metrash”, or entry and exit stamps of the country of treatment and stamps of return to Qatar.
    • A certificate from the bank with the account number of the patient or the person officially authorized by the court to receive the amounts.

  3. Request for daily bonus compensation
    • A copy of the passport of the patient and his escorts.
    • Travel movements record through the patient's and his escorts' “Metrash”.
    • A certificate from the bank with the account number of the patient or the person officially authorized by the court to receive the amounts.

  4. Request for visa compensation 
    • Original invoices of visa payment and services agency fees with payment receipts.
    • A copy of the passport of the patient and his escorts and a copy of the visa issued for them
    • A certificate from the bank with the account number of the patient or the person officially authorized by the court to receive the amounts.
Note: In the event of the death of the patient, the applicant submits the necessary documents stating the patient's death, a legal heirs certificate and an official power of attorney from the heirs to their agent in order to transfer the amounts to his account, and in the case that there is no agent for the heirs, the amount of compensation is transferred to the General Authority for Minors' Affairs.​
