Health and Wellbeing for People with Special Needs

Plans for ‘Health and Well-being for People with Special Needs’ aim at improving early detection, diagnosis, referral and intervention for this population group, developing a registry for people with special needs, as well as providing barrier free access to services.

We will encourage the inclusion and integration of all people in all aspects of society, by providing them with practical support and ready access to services and care, in order to empower them to create a better future for themselves and others. W

Who constitutes this priority population?

Citizens and long-term residents who require assistance for disabilities that may be medical, mental, or psychological.

Why is this population a priority?

People with special needs are a vulnerable population, and as a system we need to ensure that we invest in providing the appropriate health services, as well as social services needed to bring them a higher quality of life.
